Enjeux sociétaux (Societal Issues) is a quarterly academic journal, available online and in print, dedicated to the study of contemporary societies. It publishes research articles, notes, essays, reviews, and interviews in French, English, and Haitian Creole. Haitian Journal of Law and Society
The Haitian Journal of Law and Society (HJLS) is a peer-reviewed, generalist, and bilingual scientific journal dedicated to publishing innovative legal research in fields of study related to the interactions and tensions between law and society. Rooted in Haitian social and legal dynamics, the HJLS aims to interweave legal reflections from researchers of all backgrounds around themes that focus on history, sociology of law, cultural studies, post/de-colonial studies, legal anthropology, philosophy of law, literature and law, political science, political economy, penal sciences and criminology, environment, human rights, and gender studies. It offers a multidisciplinary forum for emerging and expanding research that adopts a sustained critical approach to explore a wide range of issues combining law and society. Led by Milcar Jeff Dorce, the journal is supported by an international editorial board composed of cutting-edge Haitian and foreign academics from diverse scientific disciplines. The HJLS invites interested individuals to submit unpublished articles in French or English. The Journal is published three times a year.
