Abstract

Time is essential to the configuration of power relations that characterize contemporary societies. It constitutes the central element around which work, leisure, justice, memory, gender relations, and other forms of power relations are organized. Human activities are embedded in temporal arrangements (Zerubavel 2020). The journal’s editorial project seeks to address two questions: What place do social time and temporalities occupy in the production of contemporary societies? How do transformations in contemporary societies foster the emergence of new temporalities?
